Start Trial BookingWe follow the respected syllabus of the Royal Academy of Dance. Children at Pre-Primary level take an assessment with the R.A.D as a gentle introduction to the ballet examination system. From Primary upwards all pupils are offered the opportunity to take an examination up to and including Grade Eight and Advanced Two RAD. Pupils can achieve UCAS points for Royal Academy of Dance examinations from Grade 6 and Intermediate Foundation upwards.
Our Pre-School classes welcome young children into the exciting, joyful world of dance and music. Classes are designed to introduce children to the concepts of posture, creative improvisation and rhythm through a series of exercises and stories that lay the groundwork for proper dance technique. We also use props such as scarves and wands.
Basic elements of stretches, warm-ups, taking turns, traveling steps and dance class etiquette are introduced, while never losing the child's interest, creativity or the joy and fun dancing brings. Ballet is the core dance element promoting good posture, musicality, co-ordination and artistry.
We believe in children being enriched by exposure to the arts. We aim to inspire talent to blossom and reach its full potential. Dance education is far more than just good technique and steps.
