At Redbridge Classical Dance Studios we follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance syllabi for tap. It is a fast paced, exciting syllabi that challenges the students to achieve intricate rhythmic sound combinations. The routines are lively, stylistic and impressive for dancers and non-dancers alike. Perfecting routines of increasing difficulty does take time and practice but learning the intricate steps at ever-increasing tempos is incredibly rewarding, satisfying and fun. Fundamentally the joy of tap is the knowledge that when it’s right everyone can not only see but hear that this is the case. Tap dance is first introduced at three years old in our pre school syllabi. This unique syllabus designed by RCDS introduces tap dancing to our youngest children in a high energy, fun and yet structured class. Children relish the opportunity to dance and make noise at the same time and with here they are encouraged to do both. Our syllabus is complemented by engaging and age appropriate. Those that started at this young age have gone on to excel throughout the examination system. We offer tap classes from beginners to professional standard, including our ever popular adult tap classes for beginners and improvers.
